FAQ
Common questions about how Recutr's AI interviewer works, what candidates experience, and what you receive after each session.
How does the AI interviewer work?
Recutr runs a live, adaptive conversation — by web or outbound phone — using a calibrated rubric for the role and seniority level you configure. It asks follow-up questions when answers are vague, probes for specific examples, and delivers a scored transcript within two minutes of the call ending.
What does the candidate experience look like?
Candidates join from a secure link in any modern browser — no app, no account required. Alternatively, Recutr can dial the candidate directly via phone. The AI introduces itself, explains the format, and conducts a structured conversation at a natural pace.
What do I receive after each interview?
Within two minutes of the call ending you receive: rubric scores (0–10 per dimension), a written summary, authenticity signals flagging any AI-assist indicators, and the full transcript. Everything you need to make a decision — nothing to synthesise.
How does authenticity detection work?
During the call, Recutr monitors for patterns associated with AI-generated answers — overly polished phrasing, inability to reason through edge cases, refusal to provide concrete examples. It probes with targeted follow-ups and flags signals in the scorecard without making direct accusations.
Can I run multi-stage assessment programs, not just single interviews?
Yes. The Programs feature lets you create structured multi-stage assessments with configurable pass thresholds per stage. Enroll a cohort via a shareable link, and participants automatically advance when they pass. A live leaderboard tracks the full cohort in real time.
Can Recutr be used for sales training?
Yes. In sales training mode, the AI plays a prospect or customer using a persona and objections you define. Your rep runs the discovery call, handles objections, and closes. The scorecard covers talk ratio, discovery quality, objection handling, and closing technique.
Is there an API or embed option for developers?
Yes. Create sessions via REST API, embed the interview widget directly in your product, and receive scored transcripts via webhook the moment the call ends. See the Developer API page for code samples and documentation.
Is candidate data secure?
All sessions are encrypted in transit and at rest. Transcripts and recordings are scoped to your workspace. You control who can view, share, or export data. Recutr does not use interview content to train its models.
